Always so good

I think a piece of working out our faith is reminding ourselves of God’s faithfulness. I remember when Melinda Taylor and I sat down and talked about the idea that God quite literally can’t stop being good. There have been multiple times in my life that I have heard a promise from God and then entered a desert. In those moments it was hard to trust but I found myself needing to draw upon the stories of scripture where God came through. When you look at how the Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years you see the multiple times that they lost hope. Yet at the end of the story we see God literally moving the waters of the Jordan river so that they were able to walk into their promise on dry land. I know that I will find myself in a season again where it’s hard to trust God but I love the words of Always So Good because it’s a reminder to myself and hopefully so many others that when God makes a promise the answer is yes and amen.
